To some extent, I'm almost thankful I have a 12-passenger van (rather than the 15). Wind across the Western Kansas Prairie is typical this time of year, but a royal pain in a van. I mentioned I was almost thankful, but the kids in the back had their chins resting on their knees we had the van pretty well packed.
I wish we had counted the number of calls and excuses for the rental agency.
Ultimately, they overbooked and didn't get vans back, someone within their organization made the decision that we didn't really need a 15 and that we would be fine with a 12---but, they forgot to tell us.
We will prevail---just a little more ragged than we (the kids) might have been otherwise.
